Q: How do I know my recipes are safe and secure?
A: All the data in i-COOK™Professional is backed up on a daily basis. Your recipes are protected by your username and password. You have the ability to change your password at anytime. You can give contacts full or limited access to your recipes in the settings section of your homepage.

Q: How do I view the different sections of i-COOK™?
A: Use the green navigation bar located at the top of every i-COOK™ Professional screen.

Q: Why do I need a profile?
A: Your profile is an important part of i-COOK™ Professional. Filling out your profile completely allows you to share recipes and menus with your colleagues and find other operators in your area.

Q: What is i-COOK™ TV?
A: i-COOK TV is a video library which contains 6 channels and contains everything from “how to” videos to interviews with celebrity chefs.

Q: Why do I not see my Distributor Order Guide?
A: Your order guide can be uploaded in an Excel spreadsheet form. Then you can map the ingredients you use in your recipes to the items you purchase from your distributor to calculate your recipe cost.

Q: How do I enter a recipe?
A: Simply select the Recipes section from the top navigation bar and click the “New Recipe” button. Remember to include the number of servings and the serving size to calculate proper nutrition and cost. You can even add an image of your finished plate if you like.

Q: Can I import recipes?
A: Yes, recipes can be imported from MasterCook, Micro Kitchen Companion, and i-COOK™ Pro. We’re currently working on importing recipes from other programs, including Microsoft Word. Be sure to print the import direction and follow them step-by-step.

Q: How can I make my nutrition calculations more accurate?
A: To make your nutrition calculations more accurate, make sure your recipe ingredients are mapped to the appropriate item in the ESHA database and that your recipe reflects the correct serving sizes.

Q: How do I cost a recipe?
A: You can cost a recipe by mapping the recipe ingredients to products listed in your order guides. If you do not see your order guide, please contact your Distributor Sales Representative and share with them the downloadable order guide template. To access the template, select “Catalogs” from the main navigation bar, select “Import Order Guide” and follow the instructions.

Q: Can I scale recipes?
A: Recipes can be scaled by selecting the Resize this Recipe icon next to the recipe name and entering the desired number of servings and yield. Recipes can also be scaled using “Baker’s Percentages, by selecting the “Use Baker’s Percentages” button in the ingredients section of a recipe.

Q: Can I make a menu in i-COOK™ Professional?
A: Yes. Simply select the Menus section from the top navigation bar and click the Add Menu button.

Q: Can i-COOK™ Professional accommodate recipes that contain other recipes?
A: Yes. For example, if you want the recipe for your famous gravy attached to the recipe for biscuits, you can link them using the recipe-combination button on the recipe entry page.

Q: What if I forget my password?
A: If you forget your password, go to the log in page and click the “Forgot your password?” link. You will receive an email with link to a secure page where your password can be reset.
